Real or AI?
Tell AI-generated writing from human writing — fresh rounds every time you play.
The AI idea behind it
Language models are very good at producing fluent text, which makes it hard to tell what was written by a person. There is no perfect test, but AI writing often has habits: tidy structure, safe word choices and predictable endings.
Practising this is less about catching AI and more about reading critically: asking who made something, and whether it sounds like a real person with something to say.
How it works in the app
- Each round shows two passages of the same kind, such as two jokes. One was written by a person and one by AI.
- Pick the one you think is human and see the answer, along with the source of the human text.
- Read the tips on how to tell the difference, such as AI jokes having very clean setups and obvious punchlines, then play the next round.

Try this
Write the clue list
- Play ten rounds and keep score.
- After each round, write down the clue that gave it away, or what fooled you.
- Compare your list with a friend's and agree on your top three clues.
What it shows: Clues help, but they are not proof. The habit worth keeping is asking where a piece of text came from before trusting it.
