What is the UAE AI mandate?

On 4 May 2025, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced that AI would be introduced as a mandatory subject in every UAE government school from Kindergarten to Grade 12, starting the 2025–26 academic year. It is the first national K-12 AI mandate in the world.

A locally-tuned, MoE-aligned AI elective designed for the emirate your family actually lives in.

Federal MoE curriculum coverage

Umm Al Quwain government schools follow the federal AI mandate, which makes AI compulsory from KG to Grade 12. The platform's grade bands map directly to the MoE's seven core areas — foundational concepts, data and algorithms, software applications, ethical awareness, real-world applications, innovation and project design, and policy — giving UAQ children the same structured AI path as students in the larger emirates.

Arabic-first, bilingual EN + AR

Umm Al Quwain is one of the most Emirati, Arabic-first communities in the country. Every lesson runs in Modern Standard Arabic with full RTL layout, authored by native speakers, and shown side by side with English — so children build AI vocabulary in both languages and Arabic-first parents can follow along with confidence.

No commute, no markup for a small emirate

UAQ has the fewest private tutoring centres of any emirate, and the nearest AI tuition usually sits in Sharjah or RAK. LittleAIMaster removes the drive entirely: the full KG–Grade 12 curriculum runs on the device, self-paced, with offline lessons for the trip along Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road to school or to the city.

Family-priced at AED 519 / year

AED 519 covers every child in the household for a full year — less than one term of typical private tuition and a fixed, predictable cost for a value-conscious UAQ family. The first 3 chapters are free, so you can see the whole curriculum before paying.

What are the 7 MoE AI curriculum areas?

Every grade band on the platform maps to the seven core curriculum themes confirmed by the UAE Ministry of Education for the KG–Grade 12 AI subject.

1

Foundational AI concepts

What AI is, what it isn't, and how it relates to computing and data. Age-graded from KG sensory stories to Grade 12 model architectures.

2

Data and algorithms

How data is collected, labelled, and turned into predictions. Students learn the moving parts of an algorithm before they meet code.

3

Software applications

Real AI tools — voice assistants, image generators, language models — explored with safe, sandboxed access at each grade level.

4

Ethical awareness

Bias, fairness, privacy, plagiarism, and the responsible use of AI. A core theme in every grade, not an optional add-on.

5

Real-world applications

How AI shows up in healthcare, transport, energy, retail, government services — including UAE-specific case studies.

6

Innovation and project design

Students design and build their own AI systems. Project-based, portfolio-grade work, sequenced from Grade 1 onward.

7

Policies and community engagement

How nations and communities regulate AI. Connects to the UAE National AI Strategy 2031 and the Ministry of AI portfolio.

Umm Al Quwain: Frequently Asked Questions

Does the AI mandate apply in Umm Al Quwain?
Yes. Every UAE government school, including those in UAQ City and Falaj Al Mualla, teaches AI from KG to Grade 12 under the federal MoE mandate from the 2025–26 academic year. UAQ follows the federal curriculum directly, so the seven core AI areas are identical to those taught in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
There are few tutoring centres in UAQ — does this fill that gap?
Yes, that is exactly the point. Umm Al Quwain has very few private tutoring centres, and AI tuition usually means driving to Sharjah or RAK. LittleAIMaster delivers the entire KG–Grade 12 curriculum on the device, self-paced and offline-capable, so a UAQ family gets a complete structured AI path at home with no commute.
Is the Arabic experience suited to an Arabic-first UAQ family?
Yes. UAQ is one of the most Emirati, Arabic-first emirates, and the Arabic version is a first-class build: Modern Standard Arabic, full right-to-left layout, and content authored by native speakers rather than machine-translated. Parents can read and discuss exactly what their child is learning.
Will my UAQ child keep pace with schools in the bigger emirates?
Yes, and usually ahead. Because LittleAIMaster maps to the same seven federal MoE areas and teachers everywhere are still being trained during rollout, a UAQ child practising at home builds stronger AI vocabulary and project experience than the in-school subject provides on its own at this stage.
Is AED 519 per year affordable for a UAQ family?
Yes. AED 519 covers the whole household for a full year — less than one term of private tuition, with no per-child fee. The first 3 chapters are free, so a UAQ family can try the curriculum before paying anything.
