Module 5 of 16 · Investigate: Patterns & Recognition
AI Eyes: Computer Vision
How does AI "see" the world? Pixels, colors, faces, and objects!
25 chapters
What this module covers
AI Eyes explains computer vision from the bottom up. An image is a grid of numbers, so the module starts with pixels and how computers store colour, then shows how simple operations find edges and shapes.
From there it builds to the systems students meet every day: face detection, object recognition, reading text in images (OCR) and image classification. The later chapters go under the hood with convolution operations, building image classifiers, transfer learning (reusing a model trained on millions of images) and object detection.
Dive deeper into how AI sees, hears, and understands. Explore computer vision and language AI through fun activities.
