Our promises to children
These seven principles guide the app we are preparing for families. They describe our design and review process; Little AI Toddler is not publicly available yet.
1. A friendly character without emotional pressure
Byte’s encouragement focuses on what the child does. Our writing rules exclude claims that Byte is lonely, misses a child, or needs them to stay.
2. Learning data stays with the family
We’re designing child play around local progress storage, without advertising or analytics. Parent email subscriptions on this website are separate; their use is explained in the privacy information.
3. Sessions with a gentle ending
Our design uses calm rewards, an “after Byte” activity choice, and a goodnight ritual. We avoid streaks, leaderboards and pressure to keep playing.
4. Progress based on what was observed
The learning model distinguishes independent answers from answers given with help, and revisits skills over time. Parent reports are intended to describe observed practice in plain language.
5. Prepared content, not live AI conversations
Narration and activities are prepared ahead of play. The planned child experience does not include a live generative-AI chat or microphone listening.
6. Encouragement that names the action
We use encouragement such as “You found it!” and avoid judging a child’s intelligence or pressuring them to hurry.
7. Checks before release
Our release process includes automated content checks and human review of audio and activities. The app remains upcoming while release work is completed.
