Class AI Literacy Check

Ten questions for a whole class on one projector. Students answer with A/B/C/D cards and you type how many chose each letter. You get a class report with the three most common misconceptions and a 10-minute follow-up for each.

  • Free
  • No student accounts
  • No student data
  • Grades 6-12

Set up the Check

Three choices, then the questions open one at a time. You need the screen, and a set of A/B/C/D answer cards (or a show of hands).

1. Grade band
2. Form

A number only, from 1 to 80. No names.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Get the cards ready

Print one set of A/B/C/D answer cards per student or pair, or use a show of hands. Each letter has its own colour and shape, so the cards also work in black and white.

  2. Step 2

    Set up

Choose the grade band, Form A or Form B, and the number of students present (up to 80). No names.

  3. Step 3

    Ask, count, reveal

Each question opens on its own, in large type. Students hold up a card; you type how many chose each letter, then reveal the answer and a short explanation to discuss.

  4. Step 4

    Read the class report

After ten questions you see the percent correct for the class and for six areas, the three most common misconceptions, and a 10-minute follow-up activity for each, with a free worksheet or demo.

4-6 weeks later, run Form B with the same class. Pick the saved Form A report (or paste its link) and the report shows the change in each area.

Questions teachers ask

Is the Class AI Literacy Check free?

Yes. It is free, with no account for you and no student accounts.

Do students need devices?

No. You need one screen the class can see. Students answer with printed A/B/C/D cards or a show of hands, and you type how many students chose each letter.

What data does it collect?

No student data. You enter only the number of students present and how many held up each card. The report is built in your browser and kept there and in the report link; we never receive the class's answers. When you finish a Check, your browser sends us one anonymous completion count: the grade band, the form, a class-size range, how many days since this browser first finished a Check, and a random id for this browser that is not linked to any account. Read the privacy policy.

Which grades is it for?

Three bands: Grades 6-8 (Classes 6-8, typical ages 11-14); Grades 9-10 (Classes 9-10, typical ages 14-16); Grades 11-12 (Classes 11-12, typical ages 16-18). Each band has its own ten questions.

What is the difference between Form A and Form B?

Form A is for the start of a unit. Form B, 4-6 weeks later, asks parallel questions about the same ideas, with new scenarios and different answer letters. A Form B report compared with the class's Form A report shows the change in each area.

Does it follow a curriculum?

It covers ideas in CBSE's CT & AI curriculum and the UAE AI curriculum, such as how AI learns from data, bias in data and using AI responsibly. It is our own classroom activity, not an exam and not an assessment from any board or ministry.

Who wrote the questions?

The LittleAIMaster team wrote them for this Check and checked each one against published sources. If a question is unclear or wrong, please tell us.

Does it work without internet?

Once this page has loaded, the questions and the report work without a connection. The follow-up worksheets and demos need one. If you are offline when you finish, the anonymous completion count is sent the next time you are online.

Can I share the report?

Yes. Copy the report link, or print it or save it as a PDF. Anyone with the link can open the report, so share it as you would a class mark sheet.
